Mommy brag time

Ian is quite a good reader already.  I attribute that skill in part to his love of "Signing Time" videos as they associate an image with a word and a sign.  Plus he loves books so he is always surrounded by words.  I'm constantly amazed at how many words he recognizes.  And he knows the sounds of all letters so he can sound out words phonetically as well.  I'm so proud of him!

The other day Ian was saying "cow" and when I looked up, I found that he had written the entire word all by himself!  He can write I (for Ian), T (similar to I), W (for Wonder Pets), V (similar to W), O (circle) and C (similar to O).  But this is the first time he put letters together to spell a word.
