His first concert

Ian has been signing long before he could talk thanks to Signing Time.  He knows over 200 signs and still loves to listen to the music and watch the videos.  So when we heard about a local live Signing Time event, we grabbed tickets immediately. 

Rachel, the mom/host/song writer/singer/host behind Signing Time, is like a rock star in our home.  We bought VIP tickets in order to have the chance to meet Rachel and get preferred seats.  That was money well spent!  She was so warm and genuine, just like she comes across on the dvd's.  And she was very impressed when Ian signed and said "nice to meet you."  In fact, she asked if he would come up and sing with her during the concert.

Unfortunately the lady who so nicely used our camera to take a photo couldn't get Ian to look at her and she also managed to push so many buttons that the darn thing wouldn't work after that.  Oops.  So when Rachel called Ian up to sing with her, I only had my phone to capture the moment. 

I wasn't sure if he would go up there but he did such a great job.  He signed the whole song and danced along.  It was certainly a memory making moment.
