Cousin Ryan made this really neat card for Ian's first day. He folded it in the shape of a school house and had Auntie Traci, Uncle Todd, Cousin Jack and Nana and Papa sign it with well wishes on a great first day. He loved this special note and carried it around all day!
It was an open house so we stayed with him as he got familiar with the classroom, his classmates and his teacher. He was pretty hesitant at first and although we explained repeatedly that we were staying with him today, he was clearly anxious that we were going to leave him there. But after playing with all of the toys, doing several activities, going potty twice and having a snack, he had settled right in. Thursday will be interesting and we are expecting tears but his teachers are wonderful and I am totally confident that he will adjust quickly.
