Ianisms

While I normally just post photos, I have had so many funny conversations with Ian lately that I thought it would be fun to share those with you as well.

Ian likes to ask "what is your favorite ____" questions lately.  And on Tuesday, his preschool class is making a friendship fruit salad where each child brings two pieces of their favorite fruit and then it combined for everyone to enjoy.  So on the way home from Awana, I asked Ian about his favorite fruit.

Me:  Ian, what is your favorite fruit?
Ian:  Strawberries.  What is your favorite fruit?
Me:  I like apples.
Ian:  What is your favorite vegetable?
Me:  Corn.  What is...
Ian:  Do you want to ask me what my favorite vegetable is?
Me:  What is your favorite vegetable?
Ian:  Cheetos.
Me:  Buddy, Cheetos aren't vegetables.  That would be nice if they were though.
Ian:  What is your favorite food?
Me:  Icecreamwhatisyourfavoritefood?  (You've gotta work fast to get it out before he asks you to ask him the same question.)
Ian:  Cheetos.

In a related story, we stopped by Cold Stone tonight for my favorite food and to spend a Groupon that is burning a hole in my pocket.  ($20 buys you an awful lot of ice cream.  Not that I'm complaining.)  Anyway, the nice lady mixing our tasty treat decided to chit chat with our little charmer.

Ice Cream Mixing Professional (ICMP):  What's your name?
Ian:  My name is Ian Harris and this is my friend mommy.

I'll have to remember to post some other stories as they happen.  There is a never ending stream of chuckles around these parts.
