Kittens

I got a hushed call at work from Ian telling me that there are kittens in the woodpile.  Sure enough, there are 6 kittens and the mama hanging around.  They're mostly black cats and they're pretty scared of people so it was tricky to get a photo.  

We decided that socializing a litter of feral kittens was not something we could take on right now so we trapped them and took them to a shelter.  While we were at the shelter, we fell in love with a pair of kittens (of course).  So we decided to add them to our family.  

The kids have named these brothers Miles and Chase.  They look nearly identical but Chase has a black stripe on his nose.  Their foster family did such a great job with them and they are really gentle and tolerant of the kids.

We adopted them at the beginning of July when they were about 12 weeks old.  And look how they've grown!  They love to be together and I often find them sleeping in the funniest positions.
