And finally, there was the big fishing birthday extravaganza with all of his friends from school. It was jam packed with fishing games, crafts and decorations. Ian had a blast holding court with his friends. And like Calla's party, I enlisted the help of a generous and talented friend to man my camera and commemorate the day. Otherwise, this would be the only picture you'd see since I took it before the chaos began:
Here is a handful of the memories from this fun party.
| The kids started by decorating foam fish with washers for a magnet fishing game. |
| Then the kids answered a few fish related questions to earn their fishing licenses. |
| And finally, it's time to fish! |
| Next, we bounced some fish on the parachute waters. |
| And read one of Ian's favorite fish tales. |
| Then it was cake time! |
| Next we opened so many thoughtful presents! |
| The birthday boy did a great job of thanking his friends. |
| Next the kids took swings at a fish pinata |
| The fish clappers were a hit. |
| And finally, a fish ring toss. |
| I guess he's allowed to cheat on his birthday. |
| The birthday boy CRASHED after the festivities! It's not easy turning four. |
